Massage for Cancer Patients

Dianne Gooch

Dianne Gooch

Hi, My name is Dianne Gooch, and I'm a Licensed Massage Therapist, and a volunteer here at the Cancer Center in Somerset. I'm the owner of Healing Hands of Somerset . My journey as a massage therapist has led me down many paths in a holistic approach to health care. My practice has ranged from medical massage, for treatment of injuries, to relaxation massage in a spa setting, to maternity wards doing post-partum massage for happy mamas.

I'm here as a volunteer to talk with you, hold your hand, and give you some love in the form of massage. I hope that by being here today, I make your day a little brighter, and a little less overwhelming, and when you think of me later, you do so with a smile.

I also want to educate you about ways massage can comfort you during treatment . Massage has been a key component in healing the sick for thousands of years. While massage cannot heal cancer, it can help reduce symptoms.

Happy Thanksgiving Month!

Be Thankful for all you have been blessed with! For the month of November I will be doing a pecan pie massage the scent of fresher baked pecan pie complete with hot stone therapy as well as a warming pecan foot scrub on the feet and for the finish a hot pecan scrub on the back with relaxing hot towels. After your massage enjoy tea and fresh muffins in the infrared sauna.
